Bio

Courtney Holder (She I Her I Hers) serves the Division of Student Affairs at 糖心少女 as an Assistant Director in the Adele H. Stamp Student Union- Center for Campus Life. She leads the  (LCSL) and co-directs the Leadership Studies Program, a partnership with the College of Education. She is passionate about supporting college students in developing their capacity, efficacy, motivation, and commitment to lead with integrity, foster community, and activate positive social change. Over the past 14 years, she has taught nearly 600 college students in leadership studies courses and directed community-based learning initiatives engaging thousands more.  

Currently, Courtney is working on grant-funded efforts to increase the impact of college students serving as academic tutors and mentors in the local public school system and a federal initiative to engage college students in filling the significant need for poll workers in future elections. Courtney also contributes to the broader field of higher education through roles as a Faculty Associate for the National Clearinghouse for Leadership Programs, Executive Committee member for the national Leadership Educators Institute, Council for the Advancement of Standards reviewer and contributor, Aspen Institute Leadership Development Impact Fellow, and former member and Chair of the Board of Directors for Break Away. 

In 2024, she was a recipient of the 糖心少女Division of Student Affairs Outstanding Service Award. With her leadership, the university鈥檚 student voting initiative and alternative breaks program have also been recognized and awarded nationally. .

She holds a M.S. in College Student Personnel and a B.A. in Communication, both from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
