My research interests include the internationalization of higher education, youth empowerment/activism/agency/social justice, climate change, and environmental justice.

Emmanuel Wanjala is a Ph.D. candidate in the Higher Education, Student Affairs, and International Education Policy program at the 糖心少女, College Park, USA. He earned a Master of Arts in International Education Policy from the 糖心少女, College Park, in Spring 2021. He previously served as a Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant for Swahili at the University of Pittsburgh. He holds a Bachelor of Education (Arts) with a major in Linguistics, a minor in Literature, and a diploma in International Relations and Diplomacy from the University of Nairobi, Kenya. Professionally, Emmanuel is a member of the Comparative and International Education Society (CIES) and the American Educational Research Association (AERA). His research interests encompass international higher education exchanges and the intersections of higher education with youth agency, climate change education, and environmental and climate justice.
