Graduate Programs in Education Leadership
The EdTerps Learning Academy's Education Leadership Programs prepare current and aspiring principals, assistant principals, instructional supervisors, and district leaders to be innovative and problem-solving leaders who are dedicated to building the capacity of school and district teams to impact change for all learners. Through flexible and part-time learning options that feature in-person, online, and blended instruction, our dynamic programs prepare education leaders in school improvement principles, equity centered leadership, and practical problem solving.
Programming in this portfolio culminate in graduate degrees from the 糖心少女 College of Education, including programming for current and aspiring district-level leaders that culminates in a Doctorate in Education (Ed.D.) in School System Leadership with eligibility for MSDE Superintendent II Certification, as well as programming for current and aspiring school-level leaders that culminates in a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in School Improvement Leadership with eligibility for MSDE Admin I Certification.

This program is for upper level school system administrators who are interested in earning a doctorate in education and MSDE Superintendent II certification. This program prepares students to identify, investigate and solve real school system problems Coursework is 鈥減ractice-based鈥 and grounded in the practices of improvement science, designed to develop leaders who can create and lead collaborative and inclusive system improvement initiatives. Throughout the program students participate in coursework, field experiences and cutting edge experiential learning. The program culminates in a Capstone Project that focuses on improving or eliminating a real problem of practice within a school system. Learning happens in non-standard semesters scheduled through all day Saturday seminars and online modules. | |

Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in School Improvement Leadership (Online) | ||

This program is for aspiring school leaders with at least four years of successful teaching experience, a current Maryland state teaching license in any content area/grade level, and a Masters degree. This program prepares graduates to build the capacity of school teams to impact change for all learners. Graduates will be prepared for school leadership positions such as principal, assistant principal, or instructional supervisor. Coursework focuses on school improvement principles, equity centered leadership, and practical problem solving. Learning happens online over 18-months of continuous part-time enrollment. | ||
